Missing Campaign collectibles or rewards in E-Day: the official workaround
The 14 October patch fixed the tracking bugs but says missing collectibles and Campaign rewards cannot be restored automatically. Here is what the studio tells you to do instead.
Short answer
Tracking is fixed as of the 14 October update, but anything already missed is not restored automatically. Re-collect missing collectibles yourself using the in-game list, and re-earn missing skins or titles by replaying the mission from a completed campaign. Missing achievements are a known issue and need a support ticket.
Before you start
- You need the 14 October update installed. The in-game list of missing collectibles only appears after that update.
Steps
The fixes for War Journal and achievement tracking, co-op progress and several progression blockers all arrived in the 14 October update. Nothing below helps on an older build.
The studio states that missing collectibles cannot be re-granted automatically, but that players can now see which ones are missing so they can re-collect them.
For skins and titles earned through Campaign completion, the studio's workaround is to start a new campaign from a completed mission and replay that mission to re-earn the missing reward.
Certain Campaign achievements and their associated rewards may still not be awarded on completion. The studio lists this as an open issue and asks affected players to file a support ticket.
If your situation is different
- The problem happened in co-op
- Progress not tracking in co-op sessions was fixed in the same update. If it happened before, the replay route is the same as for single player.
- You cannot tell whether the game or the service is at fault
- Check the service status page before filing anything; a live incident explains sign-in and progression failures better than a local repair attempt.
If it does not work
- Sign-in or account linking fails
- Multiple account linking and login issues were fixed in the 14 October update, so install it before troubleshooting further.
- A chapter will not progress
- Several specific blockers were fixed, including an unkillable spawn in Act One Chapter One, an elevator trap in Act Five Chapter Two and an un-interactable bridge switch in Act Five Chapter Four. Replay from the last checkpoint on the new build.
Details
The answer is above because this is the part most people need: the bug is fixed, the losses are not undone for you.
Why the replay route works
Campaign completion rewards are granted on mission completion, so replaying a mission from a completed campaign triggers the grant again. That is the studio’s own suggestion rather than a community trick, which is why we are comfortable listing it as the fix.
What we have not tested
We have not re-run the campaign ourselves to confirm the reward re-grant, and we do not mark any step here as editor-tested. Everything on this page is what the studio published on 14 October, read the same day it is cited.
Questions readers ask
- Will the studio restore my lost items if I ask?
- The patch notes say missing collectibles and Campaign rewards are unable to be automatically re-granted, and offer the replay route instead. Achievements are the exception where they ask for a ticket.
